Applications to graduate programs 2019-2020 Fall Term

Geodesy Department of Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Intitute will accept students (for Master degree) who can study Geodesy and related disciplines, can efficiently use actual data.


Application Requirements and Important Dates

Applications to graduate programs for 2020 Fall term should be made from here:

a.   The Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES) score

ALES Quantitative: 60 or GRE Quantitative score of 150 is accepted.

b.   GPA        2.40/4.00

c.   English Proficiency Test (BUEPT)

The English Proficiency Test (BUEPT) is administered by the School of Foreign Languages (YADYOK). Applicants who plan to take the BUEPT must apply to YADYOK prior to the date of the exam. Applicants who have already taken the TOEFL/IELTS and received a sufficient overall score but failed to achieve a sufficient score in the writing section must present their TOEFL/IELTS score report to YADYOK and apply to take the TWE. Those who achieve a sufficient score on the TWE will be considered proficient in English.

March 25- April 12 2019: The Application period for the graduate programs 

May 16, 2019:  Scientific Paper Exam, Geodesy Department Building, 10:00 ; Scientific interview, Geodesy Department Building, 11:00

May 21, 2019: English Proficiency Test (BUEPT)

June 12, 2019: English Language Placement Exam
