Research Summary:
My research interest is in general to understand the processes leading to the generation and evolution of faults and earthquakes, both in natural and anthropogenic cases. In this broad context, my primary target is to understand the generation and nucleation processes of earthquakes using seismic and geodetic observations. This allows me to quantify the evolution of fracturing, slip and stress at different seismic stages, and therefore to characterize the interaction between stages of the seismic cycle. Currently, I perform as well as lead such investigations to develop an understanding of the underlying physical processes on a broader statistical basis.
